Chemist Postdoctoral Fellow

Highlights:

1. The fuel-cell program at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) has an exciting opportunity for an electrochemical engineer to simulate mathematically the behavior of polymer-electrolyte fuel cells under both steady state and transient conditions.

2. You will be in charge of developing and refining mathematical models related to ageing and durability studies in addition to transport phenomena under various operating conditions.

3. The position will also entail model validation, collaboration with industrial and research partners, and verification and explanation of predicted trends seen in experimental data.

4. Recent PhD in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or closely related field.

5. Experience with mathematical modeling (i.e., continuum modeling) including in the application of transport phenomena in polymer-electrolyte-fuel-cell systems.
6. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

8. As part of the online application process, please submit a single attachment that includes both your resume or CV and a statement of your research interests. Please be sure to reference where you found out about the position.
