Faculty position in Earth Sciences/ pedalogy

The department structure offers good opportunities to research cooperation across traditional scientific boundaries. Research within the programme of Solid Earth Geology at the Department of Earth Sciences is focused on two integrated strands: i) mineralogy and petrology and ii) tectonics and geodynamics. The proposed position is intended to strengthen and improve research profile and education within the programme and to open up possibilities for cooperation with the other research programmes within the Department. The Department of Earth Sciences in Uppsala is located in the same building as the Geological Survey of Sweden.

PhD position in (Photochemistry and Molecular Science) Chemistry with specialization in Chemical Physics

The Chemical Physics group is part of the Chemistry section at Uppsala University. It consists of approximately 20 researchers, master and doctoral students and is situated in a modern building at the Ångström Laboratory. Chemical Physics lies in between chemistry and physics, akin to physical chemistry.
We focus mainly on laser spectroscopy and photochemical processes, where chemical dynamics and reactions are initiated and studied with light, often with ultra-short laser pulses on the femtosecond timescale.
