Highlights:
1. A 2-year post-doctoral position in microbiology and proteomics is available at the recently established Centre for Integrative Biology (CIBIO http://www.unitn.it/cibio/ ) of the University of Trento.
2. The project is aimed at the proteomic characterization of outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) in the opportunistic pathogen Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
3. Main project steps include:
a. construction of mutant strains with an OMV-releasing phenotype
b. proteomic characterization of the vesicles by mass spectrometry;
c. testing for immunogenicity and protection in an animal model.
4. Applicants must have a PhD and at least one year of postdoctoral experience with training in molecular biology and microbiology.
5. Experience with proteomic techniques is mandatory.
