Boeing Conference Scholarships 2010

 Highlights: 
  1. The Boeing Conference Scholarships will be offered to students of RMIT University in support of Boeing’s International Higher Education Philosophical Guidelines which state that Boeing will partner with strategically selected universities to: Enhance the skills required for as many students' academic and professional success as possible while improving access for underrepresented populations (includes but not limited to financial need, gender, rural and ethnic minorities) and targeting high academic achievers.
  2. Promote interest in continuing higher education for students, faculty and Boeing employees in aerospace areas of interest.
  3. Increase our knowledge of higher education institutions' intellectual and technical capabilities and their knowledge of our critical skill needs
  4. Leverage academic partnerships to enhance Boeing's visibility/ presence in key geographic markets
  5. Scholarships available: In 2010 there will be a minimum of four Boeing Conference Scholarships valued at up to $1000 each for RMIT students enrolled in an Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree, Undergraduate degree or Postgraduate program (excluding PhD and Doctorate).
  6. Successful applicants will be awarded up to 70% (up to a maximum of $1000) of the full cost of registration fees and reasonable travel, accommodation and ancillary costs.
  7. Boeing Conference Scholarships will be announced on Tuesday 29 June 2010.
  8. Eligibility criteria: Be enrolled in a program in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science and Information Technology, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering.
  9. Have completed a minimum of 48 credit points by 31 March 2010.
  10. Be enrolled in a minimum of 24 credit points in semester one and two, 2010.
  11. Have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 (65%) or higher as at 31 March 2010.
  12. Be an author or co-author of a paper, workshop, poster, seminar etc. that has been accepted for presentation at an appropriate recognised Conference related to Aerospace and Defence or A&D related technology and is directly related with their degree.
  13. Attend the conference after 1 July 2010 and no later than 28 February 2011.
