PhD position in (Photochemistry and Molecular Science) Chemistry with specialization in Chemical Physics

The Chemical Physics group is part of the Chemistry section at Uppsala University. It consists of approximately 20 researchers, master and doctoral students and is situated in a modern building at the Ångström Laboratory. Chemical Physics lies in between chemistry and physics, akin to physical chemistry.
We focus mainly on laser spectroscopy and photochemical processes, where chemical dynamics and reactions are initiated and studied with light, often with ultra-short laser pulses on the femtosecond timescale. We have an ongoing strong collaboration with the Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell group at Ångström Laboratory. For more research descriptions, see: www.fotomol.uu.se.
The PhD position is for four years extendable to a maximum of five years including departmental duties (typically teaching) at a level of at most 20%. Further information: http://www.teknat.uu.se A suitable starting date is autumn 2011.
