Postdoctoral Research Associate

Applications are invited for the post of a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Cell Biology. The successful applicant will focus on the analysis of the molecular mechanisms trigger by cell adhesion to stimulate corneal endothelial proliferation. This position requires a PhD in Cell/Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or another related discipline. The person appointed will have experience in molecular biology and protein biochemistry such as expression analysis at protein and mRNA level, quantitative biochemical and cell-based assays, as well as fluorescence microscopy. The project also requires basic cell and organ culture techniques. She/he will join active laboratories specialised in the cell-cell signalling pathways involved in the differentiation of epithelial and endothelial cells in the Department of Cell Biology, which is located in superbly equipped laboratories providing state-of-the-art facilities for protein biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, as well as microscopy. Starting salary will be on the UCL pay scale grade 7 spine point 29 (£28,839 per annum, plus £2,781 London Allowance per annum).
