Post-doctoral in inorganic chemistry 2010/ chemistry research position

 Highlights:
1.      Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to work in the group of Professor Fraser Armstrong at the Inorganic Chemistry Research Laboratory, Oxford.
2.      This position, funded by the EPSRC, is tenable immediately and is for one-year in the first instance (with the possibility of a further three years).
3.      The goals of the research project are to exploit metalloenzymes such as hydrogenases as catalysts in fuel cells and other devices, such as solar-conversion systems.
4.      The ideal candidate will have carried out doctoral research in biological inorganic chemistry particularly involving the use of physical methods for characterising active sites of redox metalloenzymes and determining mechanisms, and have a strong interest in chemistry directed towards renewable energy technologies.
5.      Applicants should either already have a PhD in a relevant subject area, or have submitted their thesis prior to taking up the post.
