Postdoctoral position in Theoretical physics

Highlights:
  1. KTH is the largest technical university in Sweden. Education and research cover a broad spectrum within natural sciences and engineering, as well as architecture, industrial engineering and management, urban planning, work science and environmental engineering. There are circa 13,300 full-year undergraduate students, 1,500 postgraduate students and 3,900 employees.
  2. The School of Engineering Sciences carries out a wide range of research at the international front line, from fundamental disciplines such as physics and mathematics, to engineering mechanics with applications such as aeronautics and vehicle engineering. We also offer University degree programs in Engineering Physics, Vehicle Engineering, 'Engineering and Education', and 'Open Entrance', as well as a number of International Masters Programmes.
  3. A post-doctoral fellowship is available at the Division of Mathematical Physics, Department of Theoretical Physics, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden. The research interests in the group include e.g. gauge/string duality, quantum groups, strongly interacting boson and fermion systems and non-commutative geometry.
  4. Preferably, the candidate is interested in gauge/string duality or Hopf algebras from a physical perspective. Hopefully, some fruitful collaboration will be possible.
  5. The department is situated at the Albanova University Center together with the physics department of Stockholm University and the Nordic institute of theoretical physics, Nordita. At Nordita there is also an interest in the topic of gauge/string theory duality and integrability.
  1. The position is a one-year non-tenurable position. A one year extension is possible, depending on availability of funds and a satisfactory performance.
  2. The position is funded by a grant of Teresia Månsson.
