Postdoctoral position in Porous Crystal Engineering

Highlights:
  1. A 3 year position in the preparation and characterisation of porous organic crystals, building on our recent discovery of ‘porous organic cages’ (Nature Mater., 2009, 8, 973).
  1. You should have an excellent publication record and a PhD in Chemistry or related discipline (e.g., Materials Science, Physics, Pharmaceutical Science) providing that core skills are met. Expertise in crystalline materials, crystallisation, and structure solution by X-ray diffraction (single crystal and/or powder) are essential. Experience in any of the following is desirable: polymorphism (e.g., pharmaceutical polymorphs); crystal structure prediction; porous materials; cocrystals; supramolecular chemistry; use of synchrotron radiation facilities.
