An 18 months postdoctoral position (ANR fellowship) in synthetic organic chemistry is available in our group from September 2009 at the Le Maine University in Le Mans (France).
The collaborative project is based on the design and the total synthesis of ceramide-based molecules which present potent biological activities.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in organic chemistry. The successful candidate will have a strong background and extensive experiences in organic chemistry mainly in multi-step synthesis including stereoselective synthesis and carbohydrate chemistry. Good skills in purification techniques and spectroscopic characterization are essential. The ability to work closely with the team will be appreciated.
