Postdoc in Enzymology, Wayne State University

Highlights:
1. A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Wayne State University to study a unique set of enzymes involved in de novo purine biosynthesis in microorganisms.
2. The position requires a Ph.D. in biochemistry, enzymology or a relevant field and experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, and enzyme kinetics is required.
3. The position involves the site-directed mutagenesis of enzymes, determination and analysis of kinetic properties of these mutants and the characterization of the enzymes mechanism.
