INCOIS invites applications for Ph.D program from motivated candidates with a first class M. Sc. / M. Tech in earth science related subjects/physics/mathematics. Candidates should have also cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by CSIR/UGC. Candidates who cleared the NET without fellowship, if selected, will be offered fellowship from INCOIS.

A successful candidate should register for Ph. D. on a specific topic with one of the recognized Universities within two years time under the guidance of one of the research faculty of INCOIS.

PhD positions in Computational Catalysis

Applicants must hold a first or upper second class (2:1) MSci, MChem or Honours Degree or an equivalent. The funder for these positions (EPSRC) has strict eligibility requirements, applicants must be UK residents, EU students who have been resident in the UK for three years or more may be eligible.

The studentship will cover university tuition fees and an annual living stipend (tax free) for three years. Non-UK/EU students are not eligible.

PhD positions in Computational Catalysis

Synthetic Inorganic Chemistry/Homogeneous Catalysis: Postdoc positions available

Applications are welcome for 2 postdoctoral positions in the group of Supramolecular &

Homogeneous Catalysis (directed by prof. Reek). Relevant backgrounds for the projects, which are funded by private-public consortia, could include organic synthesis (phosphorus chemistry), coordination chemistry and/or homogeneous catalysis. Ligand and complex synthesis and catalyst screening should be combined. The research group is relatively young, ambitious and well-known for new concepts and approaches in (supramolecular) homogeneous catalysis. Lab-facilities are of excellent modern standards in a brand new building. The successful, eager applicants (M/F) should hold a PhD. degree in Chemistry with significant experience, suitable skills and a keen interest in high-level research in a friendly, competitive environment.
