Postdoctoral position in Applied Mathematics at Oxford

We invite applications for a Postdoctoral research position, funded by the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) Global Research Partnership (GRP), to work with Professor M Chen at the Oxford e-Research Centre (OeRC) and the Oxford Centre for Collaborative Applied Mathematics (OCCAM). This position is available from 1 August 2011, or as soon as possible thereafter, and is for a duration of two years.

Postdoc Position in polymer science

  • Background in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science and Engineering.
  • Experience in polymeric materials science and engineering, with experience in PP (desired), PET, and PE.
  • Hands-on experience in chemical experiment set-up, chemicals/materials handling, and property modification/characterization.
  • Priority will be given to those having skills and experience in plastic rheology modification and rheological data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and data analysis skills
  • Working knowledge of standard software tools
