PhD positions in Sustainability Science by UNU scholarships in Japan

UNU scholarship, Japan, is inviting applications from developing countries to undertake PhD program in Sustainability Science. PhD scholarships (covering tuition fees and living costs) are available for the selected applicants for a maximum of 36 months.The programme will equip graduates with comprehensive, multidisciplinary knowledge of sustainability problems, and deepen their understanding of the role of environmental sustainability in addressing current issues related to global change. Students undertake problem-oriented research, acquiring the quantitative and qualitative analytical research skills necessary to understand the underlying principles of various systems involved in sustainability issues and debates

Tumor and development biology postdoctoral

The proposed project aims to elucidate the mechanism of adipocytes and cancer cell interaction using animal and 3 D culture models and combining them with state-of-the-art imaging technologies and interested in lipid metabolism in cancer resistance to therapy and malignancy.

Qualifications:

Phd with experience in vivo and cell imaging, molecular biology, biochemistry and mass spectrometry (MS) is advantageous. Postdoc applicants should have a proven record as successful researcher demonstrated by high impact publications

Research Scientist position in molecular biological

The development of in vitro assays to assess the effects of immune stimulants/novel adjuvant formulations on ruminant immune cells. Assessing novel adjuvant formulations in vivo. The design and use of eukaryotic recombinant protein co-expression systems. Investigating sequence variation in defined vaccine candidates.
Work type/ project type: The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. The production and purification of recombinant proteins for subunit vaccines
2. The organisation and performance of vaccine trials in sheep and cattle
3. The preparation and archiving of RNA samples for downstream transcriptomic analyses
4. Assisting in the preparation of research reports
