1. We seek a materials chemist to underpin the high-throughput and combinatorial aspects of a major 5-year materials discovery programme.
2. An excellent publication record in the synthesis of materials is essential. Direct experience of using high-throughput technology (e.g., robotics, automation) or design of experiments (DoE) and knowledge of organic, inorganic or polymer synthesis would be advantageous.

Postdoctoral position in Porous Crystal Engineering

1. A 3 year position in the preparation and characterisation of porous organic crystals, building on our recent discovery of ‘porous organic cages’ (Nature Mater., 2009, 8, 973).

Doctoral position in Medicine and Statistics

Highlights:

1. Four year graduate degrees in genomic medicine and statistics
2. The 4-year programme will comprise a combined first year and a 3-year self directed research project.

8. The University of Oxford offers a four year doctoral training programme in genomic medicine and statistics, training students to research in the methodologies required to understand the molecular basis of complex disease. 
9. The programme consists of a one year modular course (including formal teaching and two short research projects) followed by a three year doctoral research project, which can take place in any of the participating departments at the University.  The course takes advantage of Oxford’s strengths in genetics, genomic medicine and statistics; disciplines that will set the medical research agenda of the 21st Century.

Postdoctoral position at Umea University, Sweden

Highlights:

1. Six international postdoctoral positions in the digital humanities are now available at HUMlab, Umea University, Sweden from September 1, 2010 (January 2011 may also be a possibility, please indicate if this is your preference).
2. The call is open, but 1-3 positions may be allocated to the areas of 'media places', 'archeological landscape visualization', and 'internet and religion'. There are no teaching requirements associated with any of the positions.
3. HUMlab is an internationally recognized center for the humanities and information technology. Much of the work takes place in a 5,300 square feet studio space at the center of the university and in different kinds of digital and hybrid environments.
4. HUMlab is based on a double affiliation model where much of the work is done in close collaboration with the humanities (or other) departments. HUMlab offers an open, friendly, creative and intellectually rich milieu for doing work in the humanities and information technology.
5. The fellowships are for one year. Applications should include a description of an envisioned postdoctoral year-long project.
