Doctoral position in chemistry with interest in biology

Highlights:

1. We are looking for a highly motivated chemist with interest in biology or a biologist with chemical background. 
2. PhD position is available in Research group of Biofunctional Polymer Materials at the University of Heidelberg (Department of Applied Physical Chemistry) and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Institute of Toxicology and Genetics).
3. In our group we use surface, organic and polymer chemistries to create new biomaterials, functional and stimuli-responsive polymer surfaces as well as to develop new cell microarrays and microfluidic devices.
4. In particular, we work with superhydrophobic/superhydrophilic surfaces and nano-porous polymer materials.
