A PhD Studentship in the field of Medicinal Chemistry is currently available at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Institute of Pharmacy, University of Innsbruck, Austria
The main goal of the Opioid Research Group of the Department is devoted to the development of new potential drugs.
The work will focus on the design, synthesis and structure elucidation of novel morphinan derivatives. Applicants should have gained a master degree or equivalent in chemistry or pharmacy entitling to embark on doctoral studies. Excellent knowledge in synthetic organic chemistry and structure elucidation by spectroscopic methods (e.g. IR, NMR, MS) are necessary. Fluent English and German is a prerequisite for the position.
