A postdoctoral position is open for a talented scientist to be part of a project studying structure, function (in vitro and in vivo) and translational applications of a novel gene expressed at elevated levels in the majority of brain cancers, astrocyte elevated gene-1. A PhD/MD with strong background in molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, virology, signal transduction and immunology is required. Candidate with expertise in analyzing protein-protein interactions, gene expression profiles, nude mouse xenograft studies and transgenic animal models of cancer preferred.
